When connecting a Maxxfan to the 12v on your vehicle, the maximum recommended voltage supplied to the unit should be no more than 13.2v if the connection you use tests above this voltage we recommend the use of a 12v regulator to protect the feed into the Maxxfan. Excessive voltages can caused a reduced life expectancy of the unit resulting the main PCB being inadvertently damaged.
