The Nordkapp Air Gen 3 is a refined 5kW diesel air heater designed for camper vans, motorhomes, marine installations and other leisure vehicles where reliable, efficient and quiet heating is essential.

Building on the established Air platform, Gen 3 combines recognised ECE R122 and ECE R10 certifications with upgraded electronics, a refined installation package, improved noise reduction and a new stainless steel exhaust system.

What size should you buy?

2 kW — Best starting point for most small and medium-sized campervans, and many full-size vans in typical Southern and Central European use.

5 kW — Better suited to medium-sized campervans and regular cold-weather or winter use.

8 kW — For large spaces and demanding winter conditions, including Nordic/Lapland-style use.

More power is not automatically better, it should be sized for your vehicle. Oversizing a diesel heater can actually be undesirable because the heater may spend more time running at low output, potentially leading to poorer combustion and carbon build-up.

The Gen 3 package introduces a number of practical improvements designed to reduce noise and vibration while making the heater more comfortable to live with.

Upgraded Silent Exhaust System

The new exhaust setup includes a larger muffler, flexible and extension exhaust pipes, improved clamps and heat-resistant fittings.

Together, these components are designed to reduce exhaust noise, vibration transfer and resonance through the vehicle body, helping create a noticeably more refined installation.

SuperSilent Fuel Pump

One of the most noticeable sounds from many diesel heaters is the repetitive ticking of the fuel pump.

The included SuperSilent fuel pump has been designed to minimise this noise, making the Nordkapp Air Gen 3 particularly well suited to camper vans and sleeping areas where quieter operation matters.

Fast, Flexible Heating

With a 5kW heating output, the Air Gen 3 provides efficient warmth for compact camper vans, motorhomes, boats and similar spaces.

When temperatures drop and you need heat quickly, Turbo Mode prioritises rapid heat output to bring the interior up to temperature sooner.

For warmer weather, Ventilation Mode allows the heater fan to circulate air without combustion heating, helping move fresh air around the vehicle or refresh a damp interior.

Durable Aluminium Construction

The heater is housed in a robust, heat-resistant aluminium body, providing a durable enclosure suited to the demands of vehicle, camper van and marine installations.

Bluetooth Smartphone Control

Every Nordkapp Air Gen 3 can be operated directly from its supplied physical control panel, while built-in Bluetooth connectivity also allows control through the free mobile app.

Bluetooth operation means you can adjust and control the heater from your smartphone while nearby without requiring an internet connection or mobile data connection.

OPTIONAL - ThermoLink Remote & Thermostat

For additional flexibility, the Air Gen 3 can also be paired with the optional Thermo Link Remote & Thermostat.

Thermo Link is not required for normal operation, but its built-in wireless thermostat can measure the temperature at the location where the remote is positioned, allowing temperature to be monitored from a more representative point within your vehicle or living space.

OPTIONAL - Air Share (Ducting) Kit

Transform the way you experience warmth and comfort with the Nordkapp Air Share Kit. This solution allows you to share the cozy, heated air from your diesel air heater to multiple areas, enhancing the warmth and comfort throughout your  motorhome, cabin or workspace.

Kit includes one T piece, one Y piece, two vents and two lengths of tube. The length of the tube when folded is 30cm, when pulled out it is 50cm.

OPTIONAL - Heat Resistant Mounting Base Plate

All Nordkapp's diesel air heaters include a standard mounting plate for installation through a metal floor. However, when the floor is made of wood, plastic or any other heat-sensitive material, this additional base plate is required for safe installation.

The heat-resistant mounting base plate creates a durable and fire-safe surface that protects the floor from heat, exhaust, and fuel line contact. It allows a secure, airtight seal between the heater and the vehicle floor, ensuring both safety and long-term reliability.
