We have created this one in response to customers asking for a starter, or basic system. This kit will charge a leisure battery from your starter via the voltage sensitive relay, comes with a 12V five way control panel and pre-wired mains consumer unit.

AVAILABLE OPTIONS WITH THIS KIT

Socket Finish – This refers to the 13A sockets and switches that you will see once fitted into your furniture. These are available in Flat Brushed Steel or Raised Black Nickel finish in a standard UK 2 gang fitting, or they can be upgraded to one set of grey C-Line 13A sockets in a gunmetal grey 2 module frame (2 individual outlets in total). Please see the image of the sockets for colour/style reference.

Hook Up Type – This is the hook up you will install that will accept your 16A camp site hook up lead. We offer a surface mounted option designed to be hidden away under a bumper or panel, or a flush type similar to what you would find on a caravan setup. The flush option is available in either black or white to compliment your van.

WHAT DOES THE KIT OFFER?

In simple terms, this kit will provide you with a 12V on/off grid system and a small 240V mains hook up system.

You'll be able to keep your leisure battery topped up while on the move as it charges from your vehicle via the voltage sensitive relay. You can also wire up five 12V accessories (such as lights, water pump, fridge etc.) via the 5 gang main control panel which includes a built in voltmeter, dual USB ports, and a 12V socket. 

When you get to site, just simply plug into the 16A hook up to get 240V running through your van to power a double socket.

SPLIT CHARGE VOLTAGE SENSITIVE RELAY (VSR) KIT

This comes with all parts required to enable you to charge up your camper vans leisure battery using the starter battery/alternator of your vehicle. Included in the kit is a voltage sensitive relay that only draws power and charges your leisure battery when your starter battery is at a certain voltage. This ensures that you never end up with a flat battery in your vehicle... which is always handy.

Please note, VSR’s are only compatible with vehicles without a smart alternator, regenerative braking, or stop/start technology. If you're unsure please just drop us a message.

MAIN 12V CAMPER VAN CONTROL PANEL

This is the main control panel for your camper van, from this, you can control up to five 12v accessories. The control panel is pre-wired for quick fitting, and the outlets are already complete with in-line fuse holders and fuses fitted.

As well as the switched outlets, the panel also comes with a voltmeter to show the current voltage of your leisure battery, a standard 12V port, and two USB A ports for charging phones etc.

5M FUSED EASY LEAD

We've had this lead made to reduce the faff when installing the main control panel into your van.

This lead makes connections a breeze, simply install the ring terminals onto your leisure battery and connect the wires up to the panel

240V MAINS HOOK UP KIT

This is the mains consumer unit which distributes power from the site supply to the outlets. We have pre-wired the consumer unit for you in-house. All that's required once installed, would be to attach the sockets and 16A hook up point. Please note, the pre-assembled unit is the mains consumer unit only, not the entire kit. The rest of the equipment (12V) will be in kit form and will require assembly.

When using your camper in the EU, they tend to use a system where the natural is not earthed, having double pole equipment ensures a higher level of safety. The outlets are also individually protected by their own MCBs as per regulations.
